The Africana College of Professionals (ACOP) and Susan Gitau Counseling Foundation (SGCF) have exemplified dedication to empowering communities through targeted sponsorship programs.  By focusing on technical education and counseling psychology, they have helped individuals gain the skills and knowledge necessary to build brighter futures. Below is a detailed breakdown of the achievements and impact in 2023 and 2024. Electrical Installation Sponsorships: Building Practical Skills 2023 Achievements Sponsored 44 students for two semesters of tuition, amounting to KSH 880,000. Funded 17 students for Grade 3 NITA exams, covering a total of KSH 160,650. Supported 13 students advancing to Grade 2 for one semester, contributing KSH 130,000. Total Sponsored in 2023: KSH 1,170,650 2024 Achievements Sponsored 15 students for Grade 3 tuition (two semesters) at KSH 300,000. Funded 6 students for Grade 3 NITA exams, totaling KSH 56,700. Supported 11 students for Grade 2 tuition (two semesters) at KSH 220,000. Sponsored 11 students for Grade 2 NITA exams, covering KSH 118,250. Provided tuition for 16 students (Grades 1-3) from September to December at KSH 160,000. Total Sponsored in 2024: KSH 854,950 Overall Impact (2023–2024) The total investment in the Electrical Installation program for these two years was an impressive KSH 2,025,600, empowering numerous students to pursue technical careers. Counseling Psychology Sponsorships: Promoting Mental Well-Being Semester 6 (Graduating) Sponsored 1 student with a tuition waiver for four semesters, totaling KSH 26,000. Semester 5 (January 2023) Sponsored 5 students with tuition waivers, amounting to KSH 345,000, including full sponsorships for select students. Semester 3 (September 2023) Fully sponsored 1 student over four semesters, with a total of KSH 105,500. CBC (January 2024) Provided tuition waivers and full sponsorships for 3 students, investing KSH 198,000. May 2024 Fully and partially sponsored 3 students, amounting to KSH 145,500. Overall Impact (2023–2024) The total sponsorship for Counseling Psychology reached KSH 820,000, enabling students to gain professional skills in mental health support and therapy. Grand Total Sponsorships (2023–2024) Across both programs, ACOP and SGCF have invested a remarkable KSH 2,845,600 to empower students through education and mental health training.
